PIERO PIERANDREI, Principal
Piero spent much of his life travelling between Italy and the USA. Born in New Jersey, he moved to Italy, studied architecture at the University of Architecture in Pescara, and attended interior design courses at the University of Maryland.
In 1988 he settled in Washington, DC and worked for various firms, including David M. Schwarz – ASPC, DBI Architects, RTKL and, from 2000 to 2009, the Design & Construction Section of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
In his work with previous employers, Piero managed projects for clients such as the World Bank, IMF, National Institute of Health and IBM, among others. The projects ranged from high-end residential to corporate architecture and interiors in the Washington DC metropolitan area, New York, Italy, Israel and Venezuela. He also designed products from jewelry to furniture under his own design company in the U.S.
In 1999 Piero also taught Interior Design at the Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia.
Piero is a registered Interior Designer in Washington, DC and a registered Architect in Italy.
